Applying ice to an area of the body for health purposes is known as cold therapy or cryotherapy.
How To Use:
At the top of the ice facial mold there is an opening that opens to insert liquid. Fill the mold to the MAX line and place mold into the freezer for approximately 4 to 5 hours to ensure the mold fully freezes.
Be sure to rinse off the ice after each facial treatment.
Do not hold the ice against the skin for any amount of time as that could damage the blood capillaries. Keep ice moving continuously, gently massaging the face for 3 to 5 minutes. Taking breaks as needed.
If you are experiencing breakouts on the skin, avoid spreading the ice on the entire face to avoid the spread of bacteria. Instead, focus on area(s) of inflammation after treating other areas. Rinse thoroughly after each use before placing ice back in the freezer.
Recommended to discard after 4 to 5 uses and make a fresh mold.
Suggested ingredients to use for ice facials:
-Aloe vera (blend and strain. add filtered water to loosen the consistency)
-Cucumber (infuse cucumbers in filtered water for 24 hours, strain and add infused water to mold)
-Coconut water and/or coconut milk
-Herbal teas (rose, hibiscus, lavender, chamomile, calendula) - brew tea and strain the herbs prior to placing herbal tea inside the mold.
Pro Tip: add Vitamin E drops (5 to 10) to herbal tea for extra healing benefits.
Wash mold with warm soapy water as needed to remove bacteria and ingredients to prevent contamination.
